Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Father’s Day Flying Car Challenge

In honour of Ian Fleming, imagination, cheese and fathers, on Sunday 18th June we are hosting the inaugural… Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Father’s Day Flying Car Challenge! Put your design, building and teamwork skills to the test in this action-packed challenge.

HOW TO ENTER

- Choose which class you'd like to enter (Family or Open)

- Email thecheeseshed@nettlebedcreamery.com to secure your place  Class 1 – Family Challenge Each team will build a flying car. The cars will then descend the ramp in turn. The car that flies the furthest wins. - Teams of four but exceptions will be considered on application - Max no of 15 teams - At least 50% of the team must be children aged 12 or under - Materials will be provided by The Cheese Shed - Registration at 10-10.30am - Build 10.30-11am - Race: 11am Cost: £20 per team  Class 2 – Open Challenge

This class is open to anyone. Vehicles need to be made offsite before the day. The vehicles will descend the ramp. The vehicle that flies the furthest wins. - Vehicles must have wings of some sort. - Vehicles cannot weigh more than 1kg. - Vehicles are not allowed to have: batteries; dynamite; fire of any sort. - Race: 12pm Cost: £5 per vehicle Spaces are limited so please email thecheeseshed@nettlebedcreamery.com to secure your place for the Family or Open Challenge.
