Cheese is a living food and it therefore needs to be stored carefully to keep it at its best.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
The shortened version:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👍🏻 wax paper⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👍🏻 greaseproof paper ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👎🏻 cling film ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👎🏻 foil ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Storing the cheese well is all about allowing the cheese to breathe (a little) without letting it dry out by letting it breathe too much. Cling film doesn't really let it breathe at all, but wax paper and greaseproof are great.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our cheeses are sold in a wrap that has micro-perforations to allow it to breathe a little, but keeping the environment humid. Once opened, they should be wrapped in wax paper and stored (ideally in a Tupperware container) in the fridge.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As a general rule of thumb, you should bring it out of the fridge a few hours before you plan to serve it for the best flavour. ⠀
